Fandom Snowflake Challenge
Friday, 9 January 2026 05:30 pmChallenge #5: In your own space, create a list of at least three things you'd love to receive, a wishlist of sorts.I'm not immune to feeling guilty for asking for things. However, I put off doing this challenge long enough that it's finally time for the challenge where people try to grant wishes >.>
Wish 1: Advice
Does anyone have any experience with biodegradable pens? Or any recommendations? I'm looking for something more environmentally friendly for colleagues and customers to take since I'm guessing most people will just toss them into the trash later. (Ideally, I'd like the pens to be retractable and use black or blue ink.)
Wish 2: Rec
I am open to trying out a few podcast recommendations. I'm more in the mood for fiction than non-fiction, but other than that, I'm leaving this pretty open right now. (I haven't listened to enough podcasts to get a sense for what I don't like.)
Wish 3: Pillowfort Related
Pillowfort is coming up on its ten year anniversary in April 2026. Glancing in the Pillowfest Planning community would be nice. (The Pillowfort Anniversary Festival community will have more in April.)

Re: Try this ...
Date: Thursday, 22 January 2026 11:57 pm (UTC)I like the sound of The Note pen options, but they're currently coming up as out of stock for me. (Much like when I've tried to find Conscience Concepts Cork & Wheat pens.)
I'm a bit torn on the BioQ Seed Pens (from Cebu Pacific). I haven't had much luck with people using pens with removable caps; my colleagues prefer retractable pens, and customers just consistently avoid pens with caps. I have come across at least one other biodegradable pen with that style of cap, though, so I may need to consider trying it out in the future.
The promo options sound appealing in theory, but my boss would need to be the one to handle the order. I don't think she'll be interested in that route at this time.
I appreciate the pen sleuthing, though.
