The Pillowfort post is view-locked, but a public version was archived on AO3 and SquidgeWorld Archive for March Meta Matters Challenge.

To be honest, the scene at the end of the wedding dress scene felt a bit contrived. Like, the writers were trying too hard to recreate a scene from s2e9 where Elektra read a customer who didn't like that a bunch of trans women were at a restaurant.
An example reblogged outside of the fandom was posted by Tumblr user kiwimidnight of a scene of Elektra reading a white cis woman from s2e9 (Life’s a Beach). As of 13 February 2021, it’s received over 325,900 notes:

Elektra: God may have blessed you with Barbies, a backyard with a pony, a boyfriend named Jake, and an unwanted pregnancy that your father paid to terminate so you could go to college and major in being a basic bitch. None of these things make you a woman.

Lulu (passing a glass of water to Elektra): Mm-hm, clear your throat.

Angel: Lubricate.

Lulu: Mm-hm. Read that bitch.

Elektra: Your uniform of J. Crew culottes, fake pearls, and 50 cent scrunchies can not conceal the fact that you do not know who you are. I know our presence threatens you. We fought for our place at this table, and that has made us stronger than you’ll ever be. Now pick your jaw up off the floor and go back to your clam chowder and shallow conversations. My girlfriends and I aren't going anywhere.
However, in this season 3 scene, it didn't feel the same. Elektra is paying for Angel's dream wedding, and it involves finding a wedding dress. The attendant makes a point of getting the owner once they decide on a dress as some sort of celebratory thing because Elektra was making an expensive purchase. But he didn't have to get the owner, as far as I'm aware. He could've rung up the dress, and the group could've left the store.

The owner was a short, balding white man, and he made this big production of refusing to accept Elektra's credit card because the group was made of trans women (something about them buying a dress meant for a "real woman" turned these works of art into a freak show). So, Elektra went off about him not being a real man. You could see it coming, and it didn't really land like the restaurant scene.

He clearly didn't satisfy his wife, and "if not for pity, the last contact you've had with a vagina was coming out of your mother's womb" or something. I don't remember there being a small dick joke, but the earlier portion combined with Elektra making a point of leaning over to be at his eye level created a Small Dick Joke vibe, if you will. It felt like more current day joking aimed at men that equate not having sex recently, being bad at sex, or some sort of inadequate genitalia joke with having shitty views.

It was framed as a victorious one-up on the owner, but something about it just seemed off. And then the attendant quit as the group walked out. Apparently, in solidarity with viewing them as real women. I mean, the idea's not bad, or anything, but it still seemed a bit contrived. Like, this was the first time the attendant was finding out what the owner thought, and the attendant was in a position that he could just walk off the job that moment.
