Recap.

My family found the asides to the audience much easier to follow and distinguish from dialogue with other characters in this episode. I'm not sure if the intro and several asides revolving around the Norse sagas and valkyries helped or not compared to the first episode focusing on 'Moby Dick'.

This episode's case involves subject matter that some viewers may find uncomfortable, squicky, or even triggering: a 28 year old teacher was involved in a relationship with his 15 year old student. Several characters weren't terribly upset that he'd been killed, but Sigi made an attempt to kill herself the day after she found out he died.

Sigi's father found out about their relationship on Friday morning, he went to the school, and Ronnie was highly encouraged to resign and leave the Isle of Bute. If he didn't, the school would contact the authorities and he'd face legal trouble for grooming an underage student. That Friday night, Ronnie went out to a pub with Sigi - to make their relationship public - where his brother, a colleague from the school, and her wife (who was also Sigi's godmother) saw them together. (The godmother did it; there was a nice tie in with valkyries having a loom and deciding who died, and her having a loom that she made Sigi's scarf on, trying to escape via plane, and all.)

Morgan - Annika's daughter - was found with vodka in her water bottle at school and was suspended for a bit, so she tagged along to the Isle of Bute. Freaked her out that she talked to Sigi at a cafe right before Sigi went rock climbing and cut her line a good ways up, especially since she was in the crowd on the ground that saw the fall. Apparently, she liked the way she felt when drank vodka initially and might be using it to self-medicate anxiety, but she agreed to talk to a professional at the end of the episode.

(It was kind of nice that Annika brought up her talking to someone and steered the possibilities around to a professional, since it does show that Morgan can think of other adults she could talk to. Seemed like a good point after the motive for their victim dying relating to grooming, you know? I wouldn't blame Annika if she also wanted to talk to a professional after nearly dying from the Valkyrie exploding; the original vodka Morgan took was from her cupboard, and she had that funny but sort of not line while drinking from the confiscated water bottle, "Christ, she could've added a mixer.")
