The week of June 26th to July 3rd [2020]:

Anarchism Community - If You’re New to Abolition: Study Guide (sharing resources for self study about prison and police abolition).

Polyamory Community - News Article: “Somerville recognizes polyamorous domestic partnerships”. Tagged for US (Massachusetts specific) legal news, which may not be of interest to everyone.

Comments:

Siggy - Thoughts on remote socializing [comment]. (Tbh, using the conversational habits of eating out as a measure just takes me back to the awful isolation of not being able to hear conversations other than my direct neighbors with my tinnitus mingling with the noise of the restaurant.)

~belowdesire - Open call for thoughts on genderswap fic, and it turns out, I have some thoughts. I don’t hate it, but do I have thoughts.

~belowdesire - Some thoughts on fandom, nostalgia, and how fandom has changed. I wouldn’t say that my comment furthered conversation per se, but I realized that the method of marathoning a season of a show instead of taking it one weekly episode at a time has still affected my family in how we watch certain shows, even though we don’t have access to the common means of marathoning (Netflix and other paid streaming sites).

Coy - Open call for online teaching/learning experience [comment]. The only time I took an entirely online course was pre-pandemic, but trust me, I remember realizing I was executive dysfunctional AF.

Covid-19

Pretty sure my grandmother brought the coronavirus home, which is not a surprise to our family. (Mentioned back in offsite February/March corona-blogging that she had a 95% chance of being the vector for our household.)

I can't say with 100% certainty that what I'm going through is Covid-19. Maybe this is something else. It started out just questionable enough that I haven't called the hotline my insurance told me to use or gotten a test yet. Like, what if my anxiety is focusing on the worst possible outcome, y'know? But I've never had PET (open Eustachian tube) and intermittent pulsatile tinnitus in one ear during other signs of some sort of an infection going on (bit of a fever, unhappy lymph nodes in my neck, tired) for this many days, so this feels different. New, if you will.

Anyways. I'm on OTC meds (keeping the fever away from worrisome territory), but I may not be as coherent as usual. May not have a lot of activity in the near future because it can be a bit harder than normal to do the reading and thinking right now. Or there might be some strange bursts of activity when the words and thoughts are cooperating. I'm not sure.
