Day #8: Talk about a current fannish project.

A new bout of personal recaps for shows: All Creatures Great and Small (season 4 is currently airing here in the US), For Life (aired from 2020 to 2021), Ghosts UK (airing while waiting for the next season of Ghosts US), and Only Murders in the Building (season 1 just started on cable).

The next round should be in mid-February, but some of those shows never got much of a tag presence here. Ghosts (US) should be coming back to its third season, for example, but it's been a "relax while watching and don't intentionally bring up online" sort of show.

The whole Dreamwidth back-up endeavor that will eventually have to try to refind some posts on Tumblr.

Yes, I've got some Tumblr posts already here. I've got two current sideblogs that are slightly tedious in back-dating posts but super easy in finding said posts, but I'm going to have to decide whether I want to go hunting for stuff that never made it onto Pillowfort. (Or predate it.) Some old Supernatural liveblogging, grumbling about Roswell New Mexico [CW reboot], and that sort of thing.

Honorable Mentions:
Archiving my AO3 content over on SquidgeWorld Archive. There's been just enough of a break since I last chipped away at progress that it's not really "current" in fannish happenings.

Thinking of making a fandom primer instead of breaking down and at least starting a draft. (It will either come together, or I'll realize that I don't want to continue putting energy into that show. I should probably start enough of a draft that my brain will release this particular bone to gnaw on.)

Fanfic ideas. I've got at least a small hill of works-in-progress, I kind of want to finish the two months' of prompts I didn't get to for Year of the OTP 2023, I've got an idea for a tinyfandomflash  prompt, and I'm trying to ignore the temptation of fffc  [Froday Flash Fiction Challenge].

Fandom primer musing last mentioned here, but first brought up last March during March Meta Matters Challenge. Possible fandoms include: The Ark, Fire Country, and Monarch.

A lot of archiving efforts ahead! It must be interesting to re-read old thoughts and perspectives on shows from back then. I forget a lot, so this is inspiring! Maybe I should get into the habit.

fanifesto can be a good place to share fandom primers/introduce people to beloved fandoms or ships, should that be of interest :) Good luck with your fanfic ideas/possibly ignoring the lure of temptation if you can :D

It's sometimes interesting, but sometimes feels like deciphering a too-vague-to-recognize-the-fandom post. I probably wouldn't be too bothered by letting some of these posts disappear into the Tumblr void, but starting a whole new blog here on Dreamwidth feels like the time to do any archiving if it's going to happen.

I'll try to keep fanifesto in mind, but I might not get back around to the possible fandom primers until it's time for the next March Meta Matters Challenge.
